Founded in 1980, Jefferson Elementary School is part of the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25. The school is home to the Jefferson Cougars. At Jefferson we strive to prepare students for the future by educating the whole child; intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Our Stories

Mr. Sturgis is the best elementary teacher I have ever had. Mr. Sturgis has done incredible things that have made me respect not just him, but other teachers as well. He has not only made me want to come to school, which is an achievement in itself, but he has also made me want to learn.

Throughout my years of elementary school I struggled with reading, I was slower than the other kids. Then I met my wonderful 5th grade teacher Ms. Phelps, she made every subject fun. She helped me so much with my reading and writing, she inspired me to work harder. She will always be my favorite teacher.
